Appropriate for removing the feathers of medium and larger birds such as chicken, turkey, duck and goose.
Before using the plucker, the chicken must be placed into a scalder or hot water at around 65-80 degrees C. If the bird is not placed in hot water prior to plucking for the correct temperature and time, it will not work properly.
It can pluck a few birds at a time, but we always recommend plucking one at a time so you are not over bruising your meat.
This unit includes extra built in water spray jets around the barrel, so the operation is hands free, just connect to a flowing water source.
Comes with wheels for easy mobility.
Note: Please keep in mind it will not pluck a duck or goose super clean due to the down feathers.
