Chicken Kill Cone - Wall Mount Poultry Bird Duck - Killing Funnel Restraint
This Kill Cone is an easy and humane way way to restrain and dispatch poultry. It is ideal for backyard and free range farmers. Placed in head first, the head-down position has a calming effect on the bird. Made of sturdy galvanised steel, and is easy to assemble, use and clean. Features upper and lower lips and riveted mounting bracket.
- Small: Suitable for quail, bantams, and small game hens.
- Medium: Ideal for standard layers and broilers.
- Large: Necessary for heavy roasters, medium size turkeys, and medium size geese.
- Extra Large: Large birds, Large Turkeys and geese
- Prevent Escapes: The bottom opening should be small enough to prevent the bird from falling through, but large enough for the head and neck to pass through easily. A 3-inch to 4-inch hole is generally ideal for most chickens, while too large a hole allows them to escape.
- Prevent Turning: The cone should be narrow enough that the bird cannot turn around or push its feet back into the cone to struggle.
- When in Doubt, Go Larger: If you are unsure about the exact size, it is better to have a slightly larger cone than one that is too small, as a too-small cone makes it difficult to work.

The cone allows chicken or duck to be placed in head first. Then pull down and stretch the neck out to sever the jugular vein and allow a clean bleed out before removing the head. The wings and legs are pulled down into the cone to prevent being flogged or clawed. Hang on a fence or board fastened at a comfortable working height.
*We recommend for each cone to use a heavy duty clamp (sold separately)
for assisting with holding the birds legs,
as they sometimes jump out.
Clamp: Length 17cm, weight 160g, pressing weight 15.7kg
